My furnace will not turn on at all. What now?
Start with the thermostat batteries and settings, then check for a tripped breaker and a clogged filter. If those look fine, the trouble is usually the ignitor, a safety switch or the control board, and that needs a technician on site.
Why does my furnace keep shutting off after a few minutes?
That short cycling pattern usually points to a dirty flame sensor or a limit switch tripping because airflow is restricted. Change the filter and open your vents. If it repeats, call us so we can watch a full heating cycle and test the sensor.
I smell gas near the furnace. What should I do?
Leave the building right away, take everyone with you, and do not flip switches on your way out. From outside, call 911 or your gas utility. Once they have cleared the home, call us and we will inspect the furnace and gas connections.
Do you repair electric furnaces too?
Yes. Electric furnace repair covers failed heat strips, sequencers, contactors, blower motors and high limit switches. The symptoms look similar to a gas unit, but the parts and the testing are different, so tell us which type you have when you call.
