How fast can you get out for air conditioning repair?

What can I safely check before I call?
Five things. Replace the thermostat batteries and confirm it is set to cool or heat. Check the breaker panel for a tripped breaker. Change a dirty filter. Clear grass, leaves and mulch away from the outdoor unit. Make sure supply vents are open. Anything involving gas, refrigerant or high voltage is ours.
My AC runs but the house never cools. What is wrong?
That usually means airflow or refrigerant. A loaded filter, a dirty outdoor coil packed with sand and clippings, a failing blower or a low refrigerant charge from a leak all produce the same complaint. Diagnosis sorts it quickly, and we check the whole system rather than topping something off and leaving.
Do you do heating repair as well as AC repair?
Yes. Same crew, same trucks. We handle heat pumps, electric strip heat and furnace repair on residential systems. If your heat pump is blowing cool air on a cold morning or the defrost cycle is not clearing, that is a common winter call for us and we know where to look.
What if I smell gas or suspect carbon monoxide?
Leave the building right away and take everyone with you. From outside, call 911 or your gas utility. Do not flip switches, and do not go back in to check anything. Once the utility has made the home safe, call us and we will inspect the heating system and the venting.
