What the job involves
We pull the register covers off, wash them, and vacuum the boot and the first stretch of duct behind each opening with a HEPA vacuum. Floor registers in this region collect the most, since sand and pet hair fall straight in. Return grilles get the same treatment, because that is where air is pulled hardest and lint packs into the corners. We put covers back level and tight so they seal against the floor or drywall instead of rattling when the blower runs. ,
What we check while we are there
With the covers off we can see things you cannot see any other way. We look for crushed flex duct at the boot, disconnected joints under the house, rust or standing moisture in a floor boot, and insulation that has slumped away. We check that dampers move and that nothing has been painted shut. We also look at your filter and the return sizing, since an undersized return pulls dust past the filter edges and dirties every register in the house. ,
How we decide it is the right call
Vent and register cleaning solves a surface problem. If the dust is at the grilles and the ducts behind them are dry and intact, this is the work you need and nothing more. If we find a disconnected run, mold on a wet boot, or heavy buildup deep in the trunk line, we tell you that straight and price the larger duct work separately. We will not sell a whole system cleaning when wiping and vacuuming the openings fixes what you are noticing. ,

How often should registers be cleaned?
Most homes in this region do well every two or three years. Sandy yards, dirt roads, indoor pets or a recent remodel push that shorter. If you see fuzz on the slats, it is time regardless of the calendar.
Will this fix a room that stays warm?
Sometimes. A blocked return grille or a crushed duct at the boot can starve a room, and we find both during this work. If airflow is still short after cleaning, the cause is further upstream and we go looking.
Do I need to move furniture first?
Clear what sits directly on top of a floor register and give us a path to each wall or ceiling grille. We handle the rest and lay down protection so nothing tracks across your floors.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptoms
You describe what changed. No cold air, a breaker that keeps tripping, water near the air handler, a smell, a noise. That gives us a head start on parts before we ever leave the shop.
- Step 2
We diagnose on site
A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow through the filter and coil, refrigerant behavior and the outdoor unit. We look at the whole system, because a frozen coil usually points somewhere else.
- Step 3
You decide the repair
We explain what failed, what it takes to fix it, and how long the rest of the system is likely to hold up. You pick the repair. We do not start work you did not approve.

Why homeowners call us
- Rural routes are normal for usWe drive long stretches between calls and we plan for it. Trucks carry the common heat pump and air conditioner repair parts so a diagnosis does not turn into a second trip on a hot afternoon.
- Heat pumps and sandy soilMost homes we visit run a heat pump, and sand, lawn clippings and pollen pack the outdoor coil fast. We clear it, check the defrost side in winter, and show you what we found before we close it up.
- Well water housesHomes on well water bring their own quirks, from pump-driven electrical noise to hard water on drain lines and condensate pans. We know where those systems clog and where the slow leaks hide.
- Heating repair tooCold snaps in this region are short and hard. We do heating repair and heater repair on heat pumps, strip heat and furnaces, so one crew handles your system in July and again in January.
- All major brands, gas & electricOne independent crew for Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem and more.
- Straight answersIf a system is not worth repairing, we say so, often right on the phone.
